Media Centre
In October 2009 Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre opened a new and exciting state-of-the-art Media Centre. This centre transformed the traditional relationship between reprographics technologies and the learner, enabling the transfer of skills and knowledge between staff and students.
The Media Centre has provided a stimulating environment in which students can achieve work to the highest standard. There are 5 print release stations available for students to collect their work sent from anywhere in the school from Chromebooks, desktop computers or personal devices. Documents will stay on the server for a maximum of 24 hours until released by the student who each have their own individual username and password. Each student is allocated a printing budget which is renewed yearly and to be used for school work only.
As well as supporting Homewood Staff and students, the Media Centre is also open to the wider community and have built a substantial client base. Our facilities include Wide Format printers that are capable of producing a range of sizes up to 1.5 metres wide. Different materials which the Media Centre can supply are shown below under the 'Wide Format' drop downs. Other services available include mono and colour printing A6, A5, A4 and A3 sizes, stationery, invitations and booklets. We also have an A0 scanner and 60cm wide laminator.

Opening Times
The Media Centre is open to the public during term time only. To keep updated to see when the Media Centre will be opened during the school holidays, please email us. Please note that the Media Centre will be shut for public use during student break and lunch. Our open and closed times are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Open: 9am - 4:30pm
Closed: 10:50am: 11:15am and 12:55pm - 1:45pm
Wednesday
Open: 9am - 4:30pm
Closed: 10:40am - 11am and 12:40pm - 1:25pm
Friday
Open: 9am - 4:00pm
Closed: 10:50am: 11:15am and 12:55pm - 1:45pm

Scanning Facility
The Media Centre are capable of scanning, printing and storing your files electronically. We are able to scan documents up to 1 metre wide. Please bear in mind that artwork on thick card will be unable to go through the scanner.
