Key Stage 1 (Ages 5-7, Years 1 and 2)
“I like my work as I am looking at animals and where they live in our woods.”
Children continue their learning journey. Maths focuses on developing and applying mathematical knowledge to reason and solve numerical problems using practical equipment. English centres on enjoying reading quality texts and children understanding and acting out the stories/texts to extend their vocabulary and give them confidence in writing. Topic work encompasses the foundation subjects and enables the children to explore our world and its history.
