Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFNCCF)

We at Homewood School would like to draw your attention to a service being offered to provide specific support to parents in recognition of the enormous pressures faced by families during the pandemic. This support is provided by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFNCCF), a national charity for children and families with extensive involvement in supporting schools.

Parent/Carer 1:1 Support Sessions

These are individual 45-minute support sessions with a trained practitioner for parents/carers to bring worries and concerns that they may have about the well-being of a child and/or issues relating to a particular parent/child relationship. The sessions will be held over video call or by phone, whichever the parent/carer prefers.  Appointments can be made directly by the parent/carer or via school if preferred.

To make an appointment directly, please contact Laura Baver: or telephone her on 07776 760 957.

If you prefer school to assist you in making the appointment, please contact Wendy Brown (Student Well-being Coordinator) by emailing
