New Parents Evening – Year 6

At New Parents Evening Mr Single would welcome year 6 students and parents/carers to Homewood and Mr Lawson would outline transition plans. We have recorded these presentations, but have adapted the plans for transition this year, as things will have to be a little different.

Below Mr Lawson’s presentation is the New Year 7 Information pack, must of which is discussed in his presentation. We have condensed the information to one side of A4 as shown in Mr Lawson’s presentation this can be downloaded below.

SEND Information – Miss Stephen (Director of Learning Support)

We hope this goes some way to show the commitment we have as a school to our new cohort and the amazing times that are ahead for Year 6. We have not heard of any other school in the country offer something like this.

All lessons are designed to be completed at school with a teacher or at home with parents/carers. Do a few or do them all, it is up to you.

We do however recommend you watch the welcome messages, attend (virtually) the five-tutor times with Mrs Hayes, assembly with Mr Lawson and the library session. Then of course dip into as many subject lessons as you like.

Enjoy, Year 6 virtual induction week. The website will remain live over the summer break, so there is no need to do it all this week.

We will see you all very soon.
