IT Technician Apprentice
37 hours per week
Salary: £8,925 per annum (£4.30 per hour)
We wish to appoint a highly motivated and forward thinking individual to train with us to provide first line technical support to Staff and Students both face to face and via remote. Working within a busy support environment you will be part of our team dealing with technical issues raised through our central Helpdesk and escalate tickets to the Network Manager and the Trust IT Lead when required.
You will need to have good people skills, and have an interest in developing your knowledge of Microsoft and Google products. You will learn to be proficient at hardware troubleshooting, configuration and repair skills and gain experience working in a medium to large network environment. Skills required include experience of providing customer experience, analytical and problem solving skills and confidence in communicating with people. You will need to be reliable, creative, able to learn new skills quickly and be able to work as part of a team. GCSEs in Maths and English are required and GCSE ICT/Computer Science would be advantageous.
You will be required to attend college to complete an Apprenticeship, one day per week. You will receive on the job training and support that will lead to experience of maintaining and supporting a busy working environment. The challenges you will face and experience you will receive will enable the successful candidate to pursue a career in IT.
