Attendance Administrative Assistant

Salary: NJC Scale 3, Points 5-6, pro-rata to £9,128 – £9,310

20 hours per week (mornings), term time only, plus 20 hours in the school holidays

We seek a highly motivated and hardworking individual to support the improvement of attendance for individual students across Year 7,8,9,10 and 11. The successful candidate will be organised and will have strong levels of literacy and IT skills. They will be responsible for undertaking a series of tasks each day including the chasing, processing and coding of students absences, the oversight of registers to ensure timely and accurate completion and the production of letters to support the improvement of attendance levels. You will work within a small team of staff responsible for attendance.

The successful candidate will have unlimited optimism, good communication skills, strong levels of literacy, good IT skills and a tenacity to succeed in driving up attendance levels in the school.

The post requires a good standard of education but more importantly an attitude which is positive and supportive towards young people and their families.
