Trust appoints new CEO to spearhead next phase of development
The Directors of the Tenterden Schools Trust (TST) are pleased to announce the key appointment of Mr Stuart Reeves as the new CEO of the Trust, to spearhead the important next phase in its development and growth. He replaces the Trust’s founding CEO, Mrs Sally Lees, who retires in July.
Mr Reeves is currently Headteacher of Gildredge House School in Eastbourne, a 4-18 all-through comprehensive school. Prior to this he was Executive Director of a group of secondary and primary schools within a multi-academy Trust. His experience within both secondary and primary sectors are particularly important for the future development of the TST.
Mr Reeves will take up his appointment at the start of the 2021 Autumn term and will be visiting all the schools within the Trust between now and then to meet staff and pupils.
The Tenterden Schools Trust cares for almost 3,000 children aged from 0-18 drawn from across East Kent. It was launched in December 2016 to bring together four Tenterden schools – Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre, Tenterden Infants School and Tenterden Church of England Junior School (The Tenterden Primary Federation), St Michael’s Church of England Primary School – and Home Farm Nursery. Rolvenden Primary School joined the Trust in 2019.
Announcing the appointment, Chair of the Tenterden Schools Trust Board Vanessa Hardy said: “This is a significant time in the development of the Trust. The Directors are united in their desire to uphold the unique nature of our Trust, bringing together local schools, both Church and community, each with their own individual characters but sharing in a joint vision and common values. Mr Reeves understands how important this is to us and is very excited about joining our Trust. He is committed to building on the secure foundations already in place and he is looking forward to leading the Trust into the next chapter of its development.”
