New ways to get to know our schools

New ways to get to know our schools

Like all schools across the country, the TST’s schools are unable to hold the usual Open Mornings and Open Evenings this season. However, all five have found positive ways to reach out to prospective, as well as current, parents.

Both the Tenterden Primary Federation – comprising Tenterden Infant School and Tenterden Junior School – and St Michael’s CofE Primary School have launched brand new websites this month (November) to provide comprehensive information and guidance on their individual offers.

Rolvenden Primary School has also enhanced its current website and relaunched its social media channels to keep parents up to date on school news and activity.

Each primary school has also created either new videos, virtual tours and/or slide shows to help parents get a real feel for their atmosphere and ethos, whilst families are unable to make actual visits.

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre has created two virtual Open Events – one for Year 7 entry and the other for the Sixth Form. Both are available on demand via the school’s website and include virtual tours, student voices and detailed information on curriculum and courses. There is also a brand new video showcasing the achievements of some of the school’s recent alumni who are helping to shape the future in a variety of professions and careers.

So if you are looking for a place for your child, whatever their age, please take a look at what each of our schools has to offer:-
