Salary: NJC Scale 3 Points 5-6

£9564 – £9756 (pro-rata from £18795 – £19171)

22.5 hours per week, term time only

Required for 27th August 2019

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to will work with the Sixth Form team to identify a cohort of students for whom a work placement would be a necessary part of their post 16 programme. The role requires working with the local community, relevant agencies and students to set up long term, part time work placements and work experience placements, carrying out the necessary preparatory visits and health and safety reviews.

The successful candidate will also support the Work Related Learning elements of the advice and guidance programme from Years 7-11 and at Post 16 and support the UCAS programme. They will have unlimited optimism, good communication skills, an understanding of the needs of young people, an ability to work in a team and a tenacity to succeed. The post requires a good standard of education and an attitude which is positive and supportive towards young people in providing a ‘can do – will do’ mentality.
